new year's eve minneapolis parties are hosted by including new year's eve parties minneapolis and new year's eve events minneapolis

Located right outside of downtown Minneapolis, the stunning classic interior of the Metropolitan was expertly redesigned and crafted from the ground up in the fall of 2019 for the sole purpose of hosting memorable celebrations. This stunning reimagining brightened the space, adding new flooring, beautiful light fixtures, and a magnificent, custom glass chandelier over the dance floor while still retaining its classic elegance and nods to the past.  “My design inspiration for this project was every classic Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers dance scene” says D’Amico & Partners’ founding partner and venue designer Richard D’Amico.  With immaculate decor, a central location and ample free parking, the Metropolitan is an exquisite choice to ring in the new year. Simply put, we could not imagine a more perfect venue in which to present our annual New Year's Eve party.

VIP and Bottle Service (7pm doors) and General Admission (8pm doors) will both enter through the lobby inside the main doors. VIP guests will enjoy expedited entry through our exclusive VIP Line.

There is ample free on-site parking available.  It is important to plan ahead as cabs are in high demand on New Year's Eve and especially difficult to find after midnight.

Coat check (new and improved for 2020!) will be professionally staffed by a company specializing in coat check. It will be complimentary for VIP guests and available for $5 cash (two for $8) to GA guests.

Dress to Impress! Arrive in your finest New Year's Eve attire. Era-appropriate looks are encouraged but not required.  The jazz age was all about glamour and fun accessories so get creative! Ladies, make a statement in sequins and fringe with glittering headpieces. Guys, leave the athletic gear at home and dress to impress. A vest and a fedora are easy ways to give a nod to the past.  Get more inspiration and shop for your NYE look under the Attire Tab.

You won't find prohibition at our event! We have plentiful bars serving wine, beer, and cocktails so you'll never have to wait long to purchase a drink!  Our VIP Speakeasy bar also features 1920's classic cocktails served in a coupe glass for that Instagram-worthy shot. While we do not serve food on-site, many of our guests choose to dine prior to the event at one of the many great restaurant options in The West End which is located directly across the bridge.

Acceptable forms of ID include: Passport and State issued ID. This is a 21+ event.
